Song Review: “Feel Like Gold” by Cassie Fireman

If you haven’t heard of Cassie Fireman, you’re missing out. The New York- based songstress is here with a new track titled “Feel Like Gold”. This song is the newest release of Fireman’s solo project. The sultry pop style of her music is a beautiful contrast to the music of indie-folk band, Dirty Mae, which she fronts.

From the minute the song begins to play, you can immediately tell you're in for a treat. The track starts with an almost hypnotizing drum beat with melodic guitar to follow, giving the listener a very relaxed feel. The moment the vocals begin, you’re instantly enchanted with the sound of Cassie’s voice. Cassie’s alto tone is absolutely mesmerizing as it flows through the lyrics and adds this extra emotion and depth into the song.  The song is, simply put,  a lyrical masterpiece. My favorite line in the song goes, “Don’t let me go/we can move slow/I feel like gold/When I’m in your arms baby/It feels so right/Why do we hide/I come to life/When I’m in your arms baby. To me, these lyrics are really about the person in your life that makes you feel like gold, whether it's someone else, or learning to make yourself feel like gold.

All and all, this is a spectacular track from Cassie fireman. I’m HOOKED on her music and cannot wait to see what she has in store for all of us next. I also had the honor of sitting down and chatting with Cassie about her new song! Check that out HERE! Make sure you follow her on  instagram, @cassie_fireman !
